The Happinet Group Human Rights Policy

The Happinet Group aims to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society through its corporate activities based on the Group Vision: “The Happinet Group provides ‘happiness networking.’ By creating new entertainment styles, we bring a wide range of delights to people, creating dreams for a better future.” To achieve this, it is essential that we respect the human rights of all stakeholders engaged in the Happinet Group’s corporate activities. Based on this recognition, we hereby establish the Happinet Group Human Rights Policy.

Scope of Application

The Policy applies to all executives and employees of the Happinet Group, including part-time, contract, and temporary employees. We also ask our business partners and suppliers to understand, support, and comply with the Policy.

Compliance with Laws and Regulations on Human Rights

The Happinet Group supports and respects international standards on human rights including the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the International Bill of Human Rights, the Children’s Rights and Business Principles, and the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work. We also comply with laws and regulations in the countries and regions in which we have business operations. In the event that local laws and regulations conflict with international standards, we will make our utmost efforts to honor internationally recognized human rights principles.

Responsibility to Respect Human Rights

Recognizing the potential impacts of its corporate activities on human rights, the Happinet Group will fulfill its responsibility to respect human rights as well as avoid any violation of human rights.

Governance

We will drive forward our initiatives to respect human rights in accordance with the Policy, with the President and Representative Director being responsible for the Policy, and the Director in charge of sustainability being responsible for its promotion.

Education

The Happinet Group will provide appropriate education to ensure that all executives and employees understand the Policy and are able to translate it into their respective business activities and put it into practice.

Dialogue and Consultation with Stakeholders

In the process of practicing the Policy, the Happinet Group will strive to fulfill its responsibility by engaging in dialogue and consultation with relevant stakeholders.

Remedies

Should it become evident that the business activities of the Happinet Group cause or contribute to adverse impacts on human rights, we will take appropriate measures to remediate them and to prevent any recurrence.

Disclosure

The Happinet Group will appropriately disclose and report the progress of its efforts to respect human rights based on the Policy through its website and other channels.

Review of the Policy

The Happinet Group will regularly review and improve the Human Rights Policy to further enhance its efforts to respect human rights.
